Adele and Evan

This is all I’ve got tonight.  Two measly limericks I wrote when I was a measly senior in high school for a creative writing class that focused more on grammar than on creative writing.  Don’t worry; I’m working hard on that 10-page epic saga for tomorrow’s post.

There once was a girl named Adele,

Who feared she was going to hell.

She prayed while in bed

That she’d go up instead.

Did it work out?  No, she fell.

Above lived a young man named Evan,

Who longed strangely to get out of heaven.

He sinned just a little

to end up in the middle,

But aimed to be back by eleven.
